I'm Tania. I help women like you build the financial foundation to confidently leave your 9-5, and thrive as your own boss.

Tania P. Brown, CFPÂź, AFCÂź | Atlanta-Based Virtual Financial Coach

Imagine the joy you’ll feel when you confidently quit your job.

Sounds amazing and impossible, right? I get it. You're ready for more, but then the reality of those steady paychecks ending hits hard, and excitement can quickly turn to... well, stark raving terror.

You scour the internet for answers, trying to piece together a plan, and end up drowning in a sea of information.

(Especially true here in Atlanta, where information is plentiful, but clear guidance on where to begin? Not so much.)

The result? You're stuck in analysis paralysis, unsure if your finances can even support your dream.

If this sounds like your story, take a deep breath. You're absolutely in the right place.

The first step to making that dream a reality isn't the leap itself, but building the stable ground beneath you.

My 1:1 coaching provides a clear, step-by-step, realistic financial path that starts with getting your current personal finances in solid order so you can confidently build the self-employed life you've been dreaming of.

With this clear financial path, you will:

  • Build Your Financial Foundation: Get your spending, saving, and debt in order for essential stability.

  • Fuel Your Dream Confidently: Make informed money decisions and avoid costly mistakes from the start.

  • Create Your Realistic Quit Plan: Develop your clear roadmap to self-employment built on financial readiness.

HELLO! I’m Tania CFP¼, AFC¼- Atlanta-Based Virtual Financial Coach

I've been there, done that — and I'm here to help you build a solid financial foundation.

I've been exactly where you are – burnt out, dreaming of more, and ready for a change. My own self-employment journey was sparked by my 'Performance Review From Hell' – the moment I knew I had to make a change and build something of my own.

I learned the hard way that just focusing on getting out isn't enough; you need a solid financial foundation for life after you quit.

Now, fueled by that experience, I use my 20+ years in financial services as a CFP¼ and AFC¼ professional—including helping hundreds of women like you navigate their leap from corporate—plus insights from over 2,000 total coaching sessions, to make your journey easier and more confident."

As you saw above, Yes, You Can Afford to Quit Your Job & Become Self-Employed – and I'll financially show you how to make that dream a confident reality.

  • What’s the difference between a financial coach, financial therapist, and financial advisor (planner, consultant)?

Financial Advisor/Planner/Consultant: focused on investing and helping build and preserve wealth. Not always focused on holistically helping someone align their life’s goals with their financial choices. Long-term future-focused.

Financial Therapist-focused on helping you heal from the past traumas impacting your current financial choices. A therapist focuses on the root causes to get you to a place where your financial behaviors are healthy enough for you to make good financial choices. Primarily past focused.

Financial Coach-a financial coach looks at all of your life, not just your finances to help you use finances as a tool to build the life you want. A coach can offer guidance on a variety of financial topics and help you identify past behaviors impacting your ability to reach your goals, but most are focused on how to get you from where you are now to where you want to be. Present focused with a blend of both past and future.

Additionally, I am both a Certified Financial Planner (CFP¼) and an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC¼), so I can uniquely combine elements of all three into my services. I’m also a Certified Younique Coach, trained to help people design their ideal life. text goes here

  • My services provide the financial guidance you need to make informed financial decisions. We offer education on a variety of financial topics, but we do not offer specific investment, insurance, tax, or legal advice.

Oftentimes, once we’ve helped educate someone on a topic, coupled with guidance, that person can confidently make financial decisions.

Think of it like this: we’re teaching people how to fish (coaching) vs. giving people a fish (advice).

Even better, most can take what they’ve learned and continue to make informed financial decisions, without us- which is the ultimate goal.

  • There are six sessions, each lasting up to 1 hour. The sessions are typically broken down into biweekly sessions, the final session being a 30-day follow-up. We designed the program to be flexible enough to accommodate different schedules and transition goals.

You have unlimited email support and what we can “Unstuck” sessions- short virtual meetings to quickly attack the barrier in your way. description

  • Yes and no. Yes, basic generic financial information can be obtained from the internet and AI.

But once you get the information, you need to:

    • Curate the information specific to your unique situation

    • Filter it to determine what’s good or bad or just outdated information (law changes, etc)

    • Discern if you are getting information from only the speaker’s or writer’s personal experience without the context to know if it will work for you vs. someone who is speaking from years of working with others

    • Know what questions to ask (which is tough when you’re asking questions about a transition you’ve never experienced),

    • Customize it to match your personality, life stage, and goals.

    • Be your own accountability partner to keep yourself on track

These are all challenging to do without a human guide to:

    • Help navigate the emotional rollercoaster of the transition which can self-sabotage your success

    • Catch and help with limiting beliefs sensed in questions, statements, and tone of voice when asked

    • Help you align what you're doing with your values.

    • Discern when seemingly good guidance on the internet, is bad guidance for your unique needs description
